Well, I am finally updating pictures and posts from October. Over Fall Break, the girls and I went up to Salt Lake for a few days. We went to the Witch's Festival at Gardner Village, Halloween Activities at Thanksgiving Point, and spent lots of time EATING and being with family. Sara had the whole weekend off, and Erica came down too. Dave's XC team had qualified to go to State up at Sugarhouse Park, so we decided to skip school and stay a couple extra days to watch the meet. Pineview Boys took 1st place in the 4A State Cross Country, and the girls came in 10th. I was so proud of Dave for all the hard work he puts into the XC program and his own running, and still has time for his family. Thank you Linda for driving home with me and the girls. You sure made a long trip so much better!
We then of course, we celebrated Halloween. The girls have so much fun dressing up and having their school parties. Home-made Halloween costumes don't always turn out to the girls' approval, but luckily this year they were a hit!
I can't believe it is already November. Where does the time go? Oh ya- 4 kids. That keeps you busy!

Discipline Backfires!
There is one thing I do not like about being a mom....back talking girls! Rylee seems to have aproblem with this lately, and I just don't know what to do with her. Monday the kids got out early from school for a teacher's meeting, so I thought they would have a good day and good attitudes because they would have lots of time to play. I was wrong. When Ry had a bad attitude, I told her she couldn't play with friends. "I don't care" was her reply. But she did care when 3 friends called to play and one came over! She then went in to bother Pyper since Ry's biggest joy in life is to tease her sisters. Pyper lost it and smacked Rylee hard on her back. So, Pyp's friends got taken away too. Her reply was the same as Rylee's. What to do? They were now home for 3 hours before Dave would be home, and they couldn't go play. I decided to make them suffer by cleaning my baseboards- a job I HATE to do! So, I gave them a bucket of soapy water and put them to work. The plan backfired on me because it wasn't a punishment...they loved it! They had a great time cleaning. We turned on music, and they cleaned for quite a while. They laughed and were just happy as could be. I hope they start getting along better but if not, hey, at least they can do the dirty work for me!
This is my life. Elin loves to be held. Not just being held, but walking around being held. Sometimes I don't mind it unless I have things to do, and with 4 kids there is always plenty to do!
Elin in the snuggly while I vacuum
Elin is now 3 1/2 months old! She is getting so big. She smiles ALL the time. She gets grumpy at night around 8 and starts eating alot. She has been sleeping through the night for a few weeks now. It is so nice!
Aunt Sara was down a couple weeks ago, and Laney loves to lay out by the pool with her. She is all ready with her goggles, Sara's ipod radio, and diving sticks!
Laney's absolute favorite thing in the whole world is bandaids. Here she is asleep with her new book from the book fair, and her BANDAIDS!
