I cannot believe how much time has passed since I last updated my blog. So much is going on that I feel like I am treading water to stay afloat! I need to update pictures, so I will soon. Here's what's been going on....
May- school let out and I can't believe in a few months I will have a 5th grader, 3rd grader, Kindergartener, and Baby Elin home alone with me! It blows me away where the time goes. At the end of May, I started summer classes at Dixie. I am majoring in Psychology instead of Nursing. In the spring I just started being really interested in social work, so I contacted a social worker I knew. I want to work in a nursing home as a social worker. I called around to three care centers to find out how I go about getting their kind of job. They each told me to get a degree in Psych, Sociology or something like that, take a couple social work courses, then take a state exam to get a Social Service Worker license. I can work at DCFS, places like that, or nursing homes. So, that is what I have decided to do. I am taking 9 credits, 2 online classes(Children's Lit and Social Psychology), and one I go to 6 hrs a week(Psychology of Abnormal Behavior). I will have my Associates Degree in 4 weeks when I finish Children's Lit, then in 2 years I will have my BS in Psychology! I am really enjoying going to school, and studying some VERY interesting stuff. Dave has been absolutely amazing to help with the girls. I could not be doing this without him.
June- We have been busy this month with my school, Dave's running club, and a very fun trip to Salt Lake and Lagoon! I will post pictures soon. Pyper got baptized June 4th, and it was such a great day. My whole family was down, and Dave's all came too. I am so glad Dave could baptize and confirm her a member of the church. Pyper is so amazing. She is such a great girl, and so fun to be with. She took an art class the first week of June- she is so talented! (pics to come)We have been swimming lots, and the girls have been at Mom and Dad's on and off since school got out! Summer is flying by! Elin turned 1 on the 1st. Can't believe my baby is 1. Man, that went fast. She is crawling all over, stands up to things, but WILL NOT WALK. She doesn't even try. She likes to sit! She is so cute, and FINALLY got her first tooth. Laney is doing great. She is learning to read- thanks to Dave who helps her with flash cards every day. She is going to love Kindergarten. Rylee is also really enjoying the summer. She got to spend a week in Salt Lake without her sisters and was totally spoiled. She has so much fun up there.
Okay- think I am caught up. I will post pictures soon. I need to get through the next couple days with big tests coming up, then maybe I can breathe again!
